AREAS I WORK IN AND WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
🌿 Person‑Centred Counselling for Young Adults (16–25)
Person‑centred counselling for young adults (16–25): a supportive space to explore anxiety, identity, and life’s challenges.
Young adulthood can feel like standing at the edge of something vast — full of possibility, but also uncertainty, pressure, and questions about who you are becoming. I offer a calm, non‑judgemental space where young people can slow down, speak freely, and make sense of what life is throwing at them.
This is not about giving solutions or strategies that don’t land. It’s about listening deeply, holding steady space, and allowing thoughts and feelings to rise, settle, and shift in their own time.
Through this process, young adults begin to:
understand themselves more clearly
build autonomy and self‑trust
develop confidence in their own choices
navigate relationships, transitions, and emotions with greater ease
It’s a gentle, grounded approach that supports them to grow into who they are — not who they feel they “should” be.
🌿 Working With Anger: Understanding, Expression, and Emotional Safety
Anger is a powerful emotion — often misunderstood, often hidden, and often carrying a story beneath it. I work with young adults and men who experience anger that feels overwhelming, confusing, or difficult to express safely.
In our sessions, anger is not judged or shut down. It is explored, understood, and given space.
Together, we look at:
what sits beneath the anger
how it shows up in the body
the pressures, expectations, or past experiences that shape it
the emotions that anger may be protecting
This is not about suppressing anger or forcing calm. It’s about making sense of it, so it becomes a signal rather than a threat — something that can be understood, expressed, and integrated.
Many clients find that as they explore their anger with compassion and curiosity, they begin to feel:
more in control
less reactive
more connected to themselves
more able to communicate their needs
Anger becomes a doorway to deeper emotional awareness, not something to fear.
✨ What You Can Expect in Sessions With Me
In our sessions, you can expect a calm, steady space where you’re not rushed, judged, or pushed to talk before you’re ready. I follow your pace. Some weeks you may arrive with a lot to say; other weeks you may need silence, grounding, or time to find your words. All of that is welcome.
You can expect:
deep, attentive listening
gentle curiosity rather than pressure
space to explore whatever feels present
support in understanding your emotions, not suppressing them
a relationship built on trust, honesty, and respect
I won’t tell you who to be or how to feel. Instead, I’ll sit alongside you as you make sense of your experiences, helping you connect with your own voice, your own choices, and your own way forward.
